comments: Obviously you don't know what Libertarianism really is.
If you did, you wouldn't be writing this tripe. Or maybe, being an old
hippie as you say, you're just full of shit and hate all government.
You're the one contributing to the downfall of society basing your
worldview on your 'feelings'. Luckily, for you, Libertarians are
working to keep your world around. At least the rest of us will
appreciate it. e

harmony?

comments: I heard your interview over on radio4all.org. While you
criticize the techno-libertarianism, your own techo-realism is more a
techno-liberalism. Eventually, when people talk about cyber culture
they will stop focusing on the lives of the phenomenally rich and
instead take a look at the geeks that keep the machine running.
Eventually, those geek are going to match their desires of a world of
free speech and free beer, and match it with action. What happens when "anarcho"-capitalist's loose their faith in the "free market"? Do
they rush into the arms of a protective government... or is there
another option. A radical, decentralized alternative a resistance to all
oppression with the goal of a social ecology, libertarian municipalism,
communalist participatory economics, its going to come in with a bang
of syndicalist work resistance and sabotage. The undermining of
intellectual property, the culture of gift economies, the push for greater
access, the uncompramising opposition to censorship... are laying the
ground work of ideology for a generation of workers who are forming
their identity. Techno-liberal's like Katz find about half the idea,
championing individualism against corporativism... but techno-anarchy
is going to destroy technocracy.

comments: Hey, Paulina, You should really archive these responses
so that the MOST RECENT ones are at the TOP. That way, if
interested outsiders like me hit the site, we won't assume that the only
people commenting on the board are friends congratulating you on the
book's launch? See what I'm saying? I'll send comments directly to
you when I'm finished. Love your style. Not so sure about the
substance.
